My Passport won't pass e-check due to a crack in the casing of the part connected directly to the EVAP charcoal canister. My mechanic is unable to get the part through his normal vendors because it isn't a stock part. The honda dealership doesn't carry it because it was actually produced and assembled (the vehicle) by Isuzu. Is this part actually called the Canister Vent Solenoid? If so, where can I obtain one? Does anyone know where I could find the OEM number? The auto parts stores keep trying to sell me the Purge Valve Solenoid (?) For a 2.6L engine. Just from looking at the part I know it isn't correct. Please Help. This car is my only means to and from work and school.

Hi cardummy84,

The Purge Control Valve Solenoid is operated electricallt and has 2 vacumn hoses, 1 from the intake manifold and the other to the charcoal canister.

If the crack is around the hose connectors on the charcoal canister, you need to replace the whole unit, it is attached to the canister and non removable.
