1994 Honda Del Sol engine missing

Please help! I bought a 1994 honda del sol and have been driving it with no problems until recently. The auto mechanic dropped the gas tank and cleaned the trash and rust out (it was pretty bad), changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, full tune up. It drove better but it is still hesitating on take offs and wont accelerate in 5th gear and up hills. After I exit the interstate it jerks really bad and wont accelerate. When I park it and it sits for a little while 10- 30 mins it drives better but still hesitates.

Hi Andersonmpd,

Were the spark plugs replaced?
Were the plug wires tested for resistance?

Since problem occurs after driving, you could have a failing ignition coil which would not work well when it is heated up after driving and cooling down makes it work better. Test the ignition coil primary and secondary resistance and also test the spraks, they should be bright blue and not dull orange.
