I just bought this car and it seems to have a high engine idle for the auto transmision when stoped. What should the rpm's be when stoped? This is about 1000 rpm's. How does one slow it down?

There is a throttle adjust screw on the throttle body, where the throttle cable connects. Simply turn it to reduce speed.

Rpm's should be between 500-700 a bit higher atfirst on a cold start.
