1999 Honda CRV Audible Sound for Leaving Lights On

The audible alarm/chime does not work anymore when the headlights are left on and you take the key out of the ignition. I looked to see if it was a bad fuse, but could not find the fuse associated with that function. Can you help me troubleshoot the problem and the solution?

Hi ramseyzoo,

Check if the dome light comes on when the driver door is opened. If the driver door switch is not functioning correctly, the door chime would not work as it does not know that the door is opened.

The driver's door sensor was sticking and I lubricated it and tested the the dome light and the audible sound went on when I turned on the lights. Thanks for the perfect solution to my troubleshooting issues.
