How much can I expect to pay to repair the engine of my Honda Civic 1994 DX.It has very low engine compression and poor performance.If it is hard to say what are the top and bottom price.What about an engine replacement? Thank you!

Get to know the engine code. Now search the internet for prices of engines. Ebay has engines that are shipping from Japan to US with very low miles. Cost to pull the engine and put in the new one is around $500 or less.
