I work at Checker Auto Parts in Billings, MT

The Check Engine light can come on for various reasons and the only way to find out is to have someone runa diagnostic check on. The problem can be anything from the gas cap being a lil too loose, O2 Sensors, knock sensor, Multiple Cylender misfire. Some of these arent expensive to fix, but some are. Some Auto Parts stores do free diagnostic and I know for sure that Checker Schuck's or Kragen does it. The should be able to tell you what set the Engine light to come on and possoble ways to fix it.
