Hi,
I have just relocated to the Yukon, where the temperature is fairly extreme, up to -47C. I had a block heater installed prior to moving here, however, now someone is telling me that I need an oil pan heater and a battery heater. I don't know anyone else who has this.. what is your opinion?
thanks!

Hi there,

I must be the worst person here to answer this as i live in sunny Australia, But i will give it a go. You should ask others who live there, the locals will know exactly what you should have installed. i would imagine that most of the cars there are diesel, may be a petrol car in such extremes is not the best option, you will also have to look at what engine & transmission oil you use, be guided by your new workshop or dealership, if such a thing exists there,

Stay warm,
