WELL I TOOK IT INTO A HONDA DEALER TODAY BECAUSE THE RED BATTERY LIGHT WAS BLINKING A FEW TIMES. I KEPT THE A/C OFF. THEY SAID THE BELTS WERE LOOSE AND NOW BURNED UP A BIT AND THEY WERE NOT ADJUSTED PROPERLY AND THEY REPLACED THEM AND ADJUSTED THE BOLTS THAT WERE LOOSE. ALL WAS FINE UNTIL I DROVE TO WORK TONIGHT. THERE IS NO NOISE BUT THE BATTERY LIGHT FLASHED AGAIN A FEW TIMES. I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
2 WEEKS AGO I HAD THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED BY ANOTHER GARAGE AND THEN A WEEK AFTER THAT THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT AGAIN. THEY REPLACED IT AND PUT ON A NEW BELT. THEN I WENT ON A TRIP AND ON THE WAY BACK I HAD A SCRETCHING NOISE UNDER THE HOOD WHEN I TURNED MY A/C ON AND THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS BLINKING OCCASIONALLY.
SO AGAIN. I TOOK IT INTO A HONDA DEALER TODAY BECAUSE THE RED BATTERY LIGHT WAS BLINKING A FEW TIMES. I KEPT THE A/C OFF AND THE NOISE STOPPED MOSTLY.

Hi PJMADDEN,

Get back to the shop which did the alternator replacement. I believe the alternator is bad and it should be replaced under warranty. I guess the replacement is a rebuilt?
