Air Conditioning problem
2004 Honda Civic 4 cyl Automatic 95000 miles

my air suddenly quit working. There is no cool air/hot air/or regular vent air. Nothing at all coming from the vents. I took it to auto zone and they checked my fuses. I'm being told it could be a motor blower or motor blower resistor. How can I tell which one so that I can order the part and have it installed instead of paying the honda dealership $175 for them to tell me which one?

thanks so much.

Hi linsy13803,

The motor can be tested to see if it works. Apply direct power supply to the motor and see if it works.

Before doing anything, turn AC on and give the motor a few knocks, if it works, replace it.

Normally the resistor would still have the highest speed working if it fails.
