2004 Honda Civic Battery keeps dieing

I have a 2004 Honda Civic, the battery died so I took it in and replaced it and had them check the charging system. Everything looked fine. I drove it for 4 days and then the battery died again. I took it back and the tested the charging system again and it looked fine. They tightend the battery cables and it looked good to go. I drove it for another 4 days and now the bettery has died yet again.

Any ideas as to what this could be? When the ycheck the charging system shouldn't that detect any shorts? Mechanic said if there was a short that the charging system would etect that

If the battery is drained after sitting overnight, the most likely cause is a parasitic drain and the most common fault would be a bad fan relay.

As charging system has been tested to be good, a parasitic drain would be the most likely cause of the battery failing.

Perform a parasitic drain to confirm what is draining it. If it is a relay fault, it might be intermittent and test might not show anything unless it is sticking at the time of testing. Intermittent failure would be difficuit to pinpoint.
