2002 Honda Civic intermitten compressor

My AC works great when the compressor is on but the problem is that the compressor works intermittently. One day it works, the next day it doesn't. I had the system recharged before the problem started, so, I don't know if the problem is electrical or if the freon is conflicting somehow. Thanks.

Hi orozcoh,

The problem is most likely to be electrical in nature.

When compressor does not work, are the cooling fans working?

If yes, the compressor clutch could be the cause.

If the cooling fans do not work as well, check the AC magnetic clutch relay.
