My car was malfunctioning. I took it to have the diagnostic run and received the quote. I want to know if their prices are reasonable given that the parts can be ordered from any auto shop for about half the price.

cam position sensor - $120
crank position sensor - $170
Labor - $217

Recommended

Spark plugs for ignition - (4) $13
labor - $60

PCV valve - $13
labor - $4

Fuel system tune up - cleaner $40
labor - $50

timing belt kit and water pump - $300
labor - $280

Hello,

Well you are right about being able to get the parts from a parts store for about half price. The Garages charge list price on parts. This is because of the overhead they have, you know paying employees, bills, etc.

And to be honest some seem a little high on pricing but other seem way low so all in all the prices quoted are reasonable.
