Brake lights don't work. Cruise control doesn't work. Transmission solenoid doesn't work so car stuck in Park.
I replaced brake light switch, fuses, and replaced bulbs in tail lights.
I noticed one of the wires to rear window brake light were somewhat frayed and only a couple of strands of wires were connected to the bulb socket.
Could this cause the circuit to fail and not let the brake light switch do its job? Are there any other switches or fuses that are involved with the cruise, transmission lock solenoid, and brake lights?

Yes that may just be the problem, an open circuit, especially when you have several electrical items on the same ground. Also the brake switch, is a multi switch that releases the shifter so that you can move it. Once you press on the brake then the shifter is released and your on your way
