2001 Honda Civic just wondering

ok im getting ready to buy a 2001 hond civic not shure if it is a dx lx ex or what since i have not sean in a friend is seling it to me and lives about 2 houres away so have not wint to look at it any way i was wondering if the engine from a 2001 would go into a 95 not really sure what way to go. the 95 is a manuel and the 2001 is a atomatice dont like atomatic and body on the 2001 is not in the beast shap form what i have ben tolled and transmishion is going out in it allso so dill is would the engine go into the 95 or would it be better to jsut convert the 2001 with the 95 transmion and every thing and what all would have to be don if put the 2001 motor in the 95 i am thinking it might bolt up but would have to change computers and wiring harnes so really wondering if cosmatices would be worth the hasle of converting to a manul or a motor swap and sorry for not being abal to donat things are tight around hear but i hop you can help me

We always recommend staying with direct fit parts. Can you do it? Yes, but you will be changing many things to make it work, sensors, vacuum hoses, possible computer... What happens is you end up with more money into trying to make something work that if you got the right thing in the first place. Then after that, there always seems to be problems.

My profssional opinion is to keep it OEM.
