2000 Honda Civic Engine starts, but immediately dies

Engine cranks and starts, but immediately dies. Cycling the key the engine will start and die again. Has a new fuel pump and filter and new alternator. Help me.

Check for strong spark and also check the fuel pressure. You should have about 38psi at the rail.

Since posting my repair question, I have found and fixed the problem. This may be of assistance to you in the future. The problem lies in the timing belt, it has slipped a tooth. The belt is in good condition, with no missing teeth. The Cam sensor shuts the Motor down if the timing marks are not matched with the Crank sensor. Hope this helps in the near future.
