My check engine light came on yesterday and my car immediately started to sputter and loose power. I drove it to a mechanic (who won't be able to look at it till Monday) and he said it sounded like I was running on only 3 cylinders. I was wondering how much this might run me to fix. Thanks for your help.

It dependso n what is causing it to run on three cylinders. If it is a something bad in the ignition area (Plugs, wires, cap and/or rotor), then it is a relatively cheap part and an hour or two of labor.

It could theoretically be something all the way up to thousands of dollars for repair of the motor. Doesn't sound that way thoguh.
