How do I get the A/C belt off of my 2000 Honda Civic DX? The manual I have says to loosen the alternator and slide the top of it in to release the tension on the belt, but the Alternator isn't even on the same belt as my A/C compressor. It looks like there is a belt tensioner on the same belt as the AC/ compressor, but I've loosened that as far as I can (the bolt cam all the way out), and I still can't get any slack in the belt. Please help! :) Here is a picture of the layout of my belts.

Hi
The tensioner bolt you have taken out is part of the release now you need to put bolt back in some and loosen bolt in middle of pully then it will mave to slacken belt
Hope this helps
