yesterday my oil light came on then my engine began making a loud ticking and cluncking sound. Like a baseball card in a bike spook only much louder. I added oil and it did not stop the sound. It stald twice and I have no idea what to do.

Hi davekneb,

Due to lack of engine oil, the con rod bearings have been damaged. A rebuild or replacement is inevitable.

Sounds like you ran low on oil and have damaged the internal components of your engine. Have a mechanic look at it to determine if you need a new engine or not.
