I have a 1998 Honda Civic and it smells like gas. It is an EX and automatic. The car has to be in a gear and the heater has to be on to smell it. I have no idea what has caused this. I need help! Or any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Going through this with my car right now. It's a real joy.

Turn the car on and open the hood check the fuel hoses around the fuel rail. You should be able to find the leak quickly. Look for moisture build up. The leak should present itself. If you don't see anything without it being in gear (odd) then you will have to be careful and creative or take it for a ride around the block and check for moisture buildup.
