1998 Honda Civic bellows

My car failed a safety inspection- the reason stated is "bellows needs to be replaced". What does that mean and how much should I expect to pay for the repair?

Hi Ilana,

The bellows mentioned should be the steering rack bellow (boot).

Item # 8 in diagram

The parts cost per piece is $ 17.68 for power steering, 2 pieces per vehicle.
Manual steering parts cost is $21.43.

I do not have the labor time available so you should enquire at your local shop.
