When I press on my gas pedal while drivin it seems to get stuck at a certain point meaning thers no gas going to the engine seems like its lagging or the throttle cable gets stuck after applying more gas it would work but make my car jump/jerk real hard it would sometimes happen for 5 - 10 mins then go away or not happen for the whole day but come back on anytime.I took it to a shop and they cleaned the throttle body and work fine for about 1 r 2 months and just start happening now again also idles funny sometimes constantly stays at 3k rpms in neutral even when the car is warm please any suggestions thanks.

I suspect your throttle position sensor is faulty and in need of replacement. Also you have a 97 so you can go to autozone for a free computer scan, bring the codes back to me for further diagnosis(to be absolutely sure)

This vehicle may have a cold start injector in the throttle body, i'll have to check. But yeah a good cleaning might help. Or your injectors could be faulty, but we will definitely know if you have it scanned, its free, if you go to autozone, if you live in Cali I think they charge now, but dont go to the shop to have it done they will charge you at least 75 bucks

Oh yea last time that solve the problem is that they lubed the throttle body cable cause I was on vacation for about 2 weeks leaving the car out on rainy days so they said it coulda made the throttle/pedal stick.
I wanted to ask if you would recommend a product called Sea Foam that cleans grime/carbon build up in Internal Engine and throttle body also fuel injection.

Thanks.

Yes sea foam is an awesome product, gas and oil, we use it to do what is called a decarb. Where you grab, lets say, the pcv valve vacuum hose and lightly suck the fluid into the engine and it cleans all of the upper intake and cylinders, valves, you should see all the black smoke that comes out, I still am nervous when I do it because you can lock your engine if too much seeps in at once, so I wouldnt recommend you to do it. But ask around.
