Hi I am the owner of a Honda Civic Dx. I don't know much about cars but this has me and my machanic stumped. My car just had its rod barring changed. And my car is still not taking oil. At first we thought it was my oil pump but my oil pump is like brand new. Yet my car is till not taking oil. I just really don't know what it could be. Please help

Hi there,

If you have no oil pressure, you will have to check the pick up into the oil is not cracked and sucking air, the pump is working, the pressure relief valve is not stuck open and dumping oil back into the sump, take the oil sender out and crank it over, see if you get any flow, if not I would be checking the above.
