Electrical problem
1996 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My uncle Gave me A 4 Door 1991 Honda Civic, However The Engine is A d16y7 Found 1996 Civic. I turned the car on after 4 months of sitting in the driveway and turned on fine. I drove the car for a while nd drove fine. I bought basic tune-up parts and changed them Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and air filter. When I was done I turned the car on and it started right up then died after a couple of seconds. Try to start it back up and nothin. I put all the parts back nd still nothing. As I took of the pulgs I smelled gas on them so am getting fuel. But no spark. Can any one help?

Check for spark
no spark suspect bad distributor and what a bad coincidence tune up had nothing to do with it
make sure all fuses OK with key on

I cant count how many distributor I've replaced on them Honda Its so common we dont even test any more, car comes in with no start and no spark check timing belt if OK replace distributor and out the door

OK you have no spark at any of the wires
remove distributor cap and check for spark out of the coil
and also check if the rotor turning as helper crank the engine for you

Coil is inside the dist.
