I have had a used engine put in my 95 Civic after the engine seized 3 years ago. There is about 3/4 of a tank of old gas in the car. Can it be treated (as suggested by my mechanic) or should it be removed? If I need to remove it, how do I do so?

Personally I would treat it. I would then top it off with new gas and driver her to the half mark and top it off again. Keep this up for a few more tanks and you should be ok. I would not suggest driving it until you run out of gas and then filling it.

I would after a couple of half tanks replace the fuel filter and then I might replace it again in about 6 months. They aren't that expensive and they sure do the job they are supposed to do.
