1995 Honda Civic Noise from the distibutor

I recently aquired this car from a cousins husband and the cap and rotor for the distribotr has been replaced but there is now some kind of racket coming from the inside of the distributor. I have tried diagnosing it and I am stumped. It sounds like a knocking/clicking noise. Any ideas?

Hi sand726,

Remove the distributor cap and check for proper installation of rotor.
Shake the rotor for side play. It there is excessive side play, the bearing is failing and would give way soon.
