1995 Honda Civic car is moving slow

When I start off or change gear my car seems to take more effort to take off and speeding up to the speed limit and when going up hills tends to really slow down like I am driving in the wrong gear speed

Hi gwenjsh,

If the engine seems to race while not picking up speed, then the clutches are slipping and failing.

If not, then the engine needs to be checked for lack of power.
