Apparently the stop switch for my brake lights has been broken for a period of time, and this has drained my car battery. Does this mean that the brake lights would have always been on even when the engine was turned off? I don't recall seeing them on after I would park my car. Would this be enough to completely drain my battery?

Thanks
Chris

Hello, yes, the feed to the brake switch is hot all the time. If the switch was stuck in the closed position or the pedal was out of adjustment and closing the switch. Your brake lites would burn all the time.
