Transmission problem
1994 Honda Civic Automatic

i have been driving my car quite some time and notice every time I drive, the car does not gear out like it suppose to. When I cut the car off I can always smell something burning under the hood. Also I do not know if this has something to do with it but, I have a exhaust system installed. But anyways when the car won't gear out it hardly drives. Please help me because it is getting on my nerves. Lol

Check and suspect speed sensor at tranny
check engine operation and timing
check tranny fluids
do u have check engine light on get the codes

RETRIEVING CODES
Turn ignition off. Insert jumper wire in service check connector terminals, located behind right side of dash.
Turn ignition on. Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will be indicated by a series of long and short flashes on MIL. The number of long flashes indicates the number in the 10s column. The number of short flashes indicates the number in the 1s column. For example, 4 long flashes followed by 3 short flashes would indicate DTC 43.
