I purchased a new battery and when I was installing the new one, I placed the negative on first and when I was placing the positve on I saw spark and notice the battery fuse was blone. How do I place the fuse and the battery back without blowing the fuse?

Hi valeriore,

Negative cables should never be installed first. Reason is that if done so, while installing the positiv terminals, any contact with body or other parts would cause shortings.

2nd thing, ensure terminals are correct, reverse installation can cause a lot of damage.

3rdly, NEVER keep key in ON position. Any current surge can cause damage to the ECM etc.

If the fuse keeps blowing, there should be a shorting somewhere, you need to rectify that.
