1992 Honda Civic hesitation

My honda civic hb that I just bought seems to be having hesitation problem. When I give it ga s it's like it doesn't want to accelerate right away. What could that be?

Hi militaryman63b,

If it is fuel related, it could be a clogged fuel filter, faulty regulator or a weak fuel pump.

Electrical would come up with too many possibilities to be listed.

I would check the spark plugs and related items first.
