I have been using an EG8 for about 1 Â ½ years. 1992 model, Vtec. After about three months since I bought it, I came across it has been converted from auto transmission to manual. After about 1 year of usage I came up with a problem such that engine stops suddenly. Especially when AC is on. Changed EAC valve. But problem existed. Checked with Honda Agent garage. They increased the idling speed of the engine to 1500 RPM. Now the problem is the engine speed oscillates from 400 to 2000 RPM. AC engages a heavy load on engine. Sometimes I cant even overtake a vehicle with AC. Honda garage guys said they can't use the tester since many unidentified wires are coming out of the engine due to auto manual conversion. Can anyone help me on this?

You may just have a weak motor. I have seen this on other 92-95 models where when the A/C is engaged, there is little to no power. It always turns out being that the engine is too weak due to it's age.

Your idle is bouncing around most likley because the FITV is acting up. Give it a good cleaning.

Hi F41_guy,
thanks for your reply. But I can not understand what you mean by weak motor. Without A/C car performs very well. Have more power. Can feel VTEC power also. No smoke. It is not clear what you meant by FITV.
I will appreciate if you can clarify this further more.
