1989 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the exaust runs wright under the base pan for my honda civic iam haveing problem loseing the nut for the exaust what the best way to get to the base pan to check the connecting rod bearing

Hi kenroy,

You need to remove the exhaust from just below the manifold to the part before the catalytic converter.

Before removal of exhaust related bolts and nuts, a spray of WD 40 is recommended and it is preferable to do removal while the exhaust are hot. Makes the job easier.
