HELLO, I HAVE A 92 ACCORD THE CAR IS OVERHEATING ON LOW RPM. ON THE HIGH WAY ITS FINE THE FANS ARE WORKING I REMOVED THE THERMOSTAT AND RAN THE CAR WITH OUT IT AND IT IS STILL OVERHEATIN THE WATER PUMP IS 2 MONTHS OLD. WHEN I REMOVE THE RAD CAP AFTER IT COOLS DOWN IT IS LOW ON COOLANT, I CHECKED THE ENGINE OIL IT IS FINE. WHEN THE CAR IS AT IDLE AND I REV TO SAY 2000RPM THE TEP GAGE DROPS TO NORMAL CAN THIS BE A HEADGASKET? OR ARE THE FINS IN THE WATER PUMP SLIPPING

After it warms up do you see water dripping out of the tail pipe or white smoke.

Could be the pump: check and see while engine is hot and idling squeeze the upper hose while you rev the engine do you feel a strong flow going thru. I f not the impeller might be gone.

Doing a block check-will tell if the headgasket is leaking by the present of hydrocarbons. Fluid will turn yellowish.

Pressure test the radiator cap.
