I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX 4 door 4 cyl.I just found out that I need to have the brakes replaced. The shop said my rear brakes are gone and I only have 15%-20% of the front brakes. How much should each, the front & the rear, cost? We are new to the area and do not have a reliable mechanic yet. I want to be sure that we dont get ripped off. Thanks so much!

If the rear brakes are gone, it is possible that you might need a new rotor or two at about $20 - $25 each plus the pads at $18 - $60. Same in the front with pads at $5 - $20 higher in cost. Labor on the job should be around 2.5 - 3.5 hours.
