96 Honda Accord

I have a 96 Accord and while driving I noticed the temperature needle rise. I added antifreeze, as it was empty. The needle still rises but the car does not overheat. The fan comes on and stays on a bit after turning the car off. Would like to know what the problem is and how to fix. Thanks.

You have air in the system. You need to crack a bleeder to release the air. Then if the antifreeze keeps going down and the tempermental heating up continues I would advise to locate the crack or leak in the system. You might find a hairline crack on the top of the radiator. It lets out steam sometimes and lets air in to the system.
