I wanted to know how do u take platinum from a catalytic converter and what year did they start using platinum. Before I start this business I need to know how feesable it is for me.

Platinum was used for catalytic converters since the early 80s.

As to the other part of the question, extracting chemicals from cat converters do not fall under the categories of auto repairs so you would have to get that answered by a chemist rather than an auto technician.
