once in awhile i turn the ignition on and nothing happens, i try it a few more times and it starts. i replaced the battery but problem still exits

A few things can cause this. I need you to check something for me. When it happens, have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for voltage to the smaller wire on the starter. It should have 12+ volts when the key is in the start position.
