If you have power and ground to the vent valve when it is commanded "on" then you have a faulty vent valve.

I switch car on vent valve not working use a jumper to body works, but code po498 curite malfunc. Is my compture is not sending seginal to vent valve because I am not getting 12v I get very low volt, does this mean my compture defective

Check for a poor connection of the LT
GRN/RED wire on connector C501 at the left side of the dash between the PCM and the EVAP canister vent shut valve.
