Engine Performance problem
2004 Honda Accord 6 cyl Manual 93,000 miles

when I putmy my car into 1st gear and try to accelerate the car doenst want to gain any speed. It doesnt want to speed up until 5th gear. The engine rpms rev high and then it may move a little faster.
The diagnostic codes that appear on the OBDII are, PO443, PO498, P2197(undefined code). Can yoiu please help me.

Hi mzbecca12,

If the engine is revving high and vehicle is not picking up speed immediately, it indicates the clutch is slipping and would have to be replaced to rectify.

P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction

As to the other 2 code, I anot able to access my database to get them n ow as my pc has crashed and I m not able to access with this laptop.

Will get back to you once I am able to get the information, might take some time though.
