Hi,
My Accord has had about 1/2 to 1 inch of water on the passenger side floor front and back, for about two weeks, even thought I have dried it out several times All of the windows and doors appear to be water tight. Could the air conditioner be leaking into the interior of the car? If so, how can that happen? Is it easily fixed or would the dashboard have to be taken off to get to the hose or whatever is broken? If not the Air Conditioner, what else could cause so much water to leak into the car.
Thanks so much!
Jim

Hi Jim,

If the evaporator drain hose is dislodged or clogged, the condensation water would leak into the cabin. To resolve the problem, you can try pinching and squeezing the drain hose from the engine compartment firewall. Itf that fails, you would have to disconnect the hose and use a wire to probe the drain hole to clear the clogging and reinstall the drain hose.

If the vehice is equipped with sun roof, the drain hose at front right pillar could be dislodged and causing water to drain into cabin. This would happen only if there is rain or you go through a car wash.
