Like so many other honda accord owners, my backlight also went out, at first I wasn't able to use it at all, but I found out that I just needed to change the fuse for the radio to work again, but the backlight isn't working. I've been told that the problem is with the circuit board, but how much does it cost, and is it really worth replacing? Or should I just put in an aftermarket radio?

Hi cwoodknight,

Yes, the problem should be with the PCB and Honda did extend the warranty period to 7 years or 100 k miles. Too bad your mileage is out of the period.

The PCB is replaced as a radio unit assy and the cheapest alternative is to get an after market radio to install.
