Is it ok if the ignintion key gets warm/hot after I drive approx.1/2 hour. The dealer says this is normal. I recently purchased the car and they had to (whatever) the ignition key as this alarm is brand new.

You have a hot wire (power wire) that isnt proporly grounded around your ignition

I recently asked a question but forgot to put in the mileage of the car which is 46000 miles.

"My ignition key heat up (gets warm/hot) whenever I drive approx. 1/2/ hr. I recently purchased the car and it has a new alarm, the dealer says this may be the trouble and that it is normal".

I have a hot wire (power wire) that isn't properlty grounded, it's around the ignition. IS THIS DANGEROUS.
