2002 Honda Accord Cruise Control

The light on the cruise control on/off switch to the left of the steering wheel does not come on when the button is pressed. And cruise control won't come on. This happened once before. The switch module was replaced and all was well again. (1) How do I pop the switch out of the dash to replace it, and (2) is the switch wired through the light/lamp such that if the light burns out, the switch won't go on, (3) if the lamp is in the circuit, can I find a wiring diagram or find what to short such that cruise is always on?

Hi semchap,

At the lower part of the switch you would notice a small indent, use a flat feeler gage to pry the lower portion and the switch would pop out.

The lighting is a separate circuit only for the purpose of illuminating the button when the lights are turned ON.

Here is a schematic of the cruise control main switch. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know what happens.
