Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2001 Honda Accord has a check engine light to keep coming on. Sometimes it stays on for a while and sometimes for a few minutes. I took it by Advance Auto and they hooked it up to read the code and it said that it was the idle air control sensor or valve or something like that. My husband looked online and some cars say you can clean them. Is this true for mine? If so, where is it located? Thanks so much!

The IAC valve is located on the back of the intake maniflod near the throttle body. Its better to replace it then cleaning it, because it's pretty hard to get to it. Cleaning the IAC valve will not last or sometimes it doesn't work.
