My Honda Ihas been serviced with the following repairs / replacements within the last year: Replaced timing belt, water / fuel pumps & motor mount; EGR valve per service bulliten specs- due to maintenence sensor; oil, oil filter, air filter regularly as required: transmission flushed (maint sensor) and trans fluid changed. All of this and the engine still "jumps" during acceleration. There were recall extensions pertaining to Honda transmissions and EGR issues but I did'nt experience these problems until this past year and Honda won't honor the expired recall extensions. Do you have any suggestions why the engine is still running a little rough, idles high and jumps? I also need to replace the bearing/hub on 1 tire, it has fuzed to the shaft. What is the average cost of parts and repair from a Honda dealer or repair shop? If I dont go to the dealer, where is the best place to have this done? Some repair shops said they can't do the repair because they cant get the hub off? Thanks JC

Hi jack66,

Were the spark plugs and ignition coils checked?
Is the Check Engine Light indicating?

For the CV shaft to be fused to the hub, removing it is not going to be easy and the shaft might be damaged during removal.

I would suggest getting used parts from the junk yard.

Prices would vary region to region so you would need to shop around for prices within your area.
