2000 Honda Accord MIL warning

Had it coded and the guys at autozone said if you take off and spray this (intake cleaner) down it, it will help for a while. So, my question is what part is "this" and wouldn't it just be smarter to just replace it? Thats why I want to know what it is

location- under the right side black engine cover (if you are facing the car). Sits right next to engine
description- it looks like a canister and has an electrical attachment to it, it is held on by two smallish bolts and sits at about 1 o clock to the oil fill cap. Hope this is clear enough to at least get a part name?

Those guys at Autozone are not techs or anything even close to it so I have no idea what he was referring to and wouldn't expect the advice to be accurate anyway. We need the exact code number that was stored.
