My brake warning light is on and my car has gone into limp mode. All brake lamps checked out ok. Fuses are OK, No codes when we jumper the connector. The TCU not bad bad components. Any suggestions on what else should be checked to fix the problem. I had the car at two different shops. The first said it was the transmission, the second supposedly fixed it with new brake light. Lamps I can't afford the high diagnostic costs. I hope you have some suggestions for me.

Could a problem within the ABS system cause the car to go into limp mode?
Thank you

Hi buddybrake,

The ABS system would not cause the vehicle to go into limp mode.

When you say limp mode, can you describe the symptoms to me?

Did you check the brake fluid level? If level is good, try unpluging the reservoir cap wires for the fluid level indicator to check if the light goes away. A faulty sensor in the cap can cause the indicator light to show.
