Last week I had the starter replaced in my Honda. Yesterday I started having problems with the ignition switch. I put in the key and iot won't turn. I have to wiggle and adjust the key for about 1 and a half min before it finally allows me to turn and start the engin. I know there is a microchip in the key and there is a microchip in the ignition switch for anti theft reasons. What could be causing this problem?

Thanks

Hello Ronnie
Thanks for the donation.

The first thing you would want to try and do here is to lubricate the lock cylinder with some WD40 or equivalent light oil. Work the light oil into the cylinder with your key. If this does not help, you can read more about this common issue at our Car Repair Troubleshooting page, linked below..

If you still need further assistance after reading over the troubleshooting page just let me know..
