1. Recently my car stops while idiling. Ex. I was driving to work (drove about 20 minutes), stopped at a red light, car in neutral (auto) and it stopped. It started right back up. Any suggestions?

2. Also, for almost 3 years my car will not start after being completely turned off. It seems to only happen in the summer months. It sounds as if it wants to crank but it will not turn over. Any suggestions?

I have had the starter replaced and a tune up.

Hi Hondadriver,

For the stalling, it could be low and inconsistent idling speed and that should be rectified by cleaning the throttle body, Idle Air Control valve and readjusting the idling speed.

For the intermittently non starting, it could be a faulty ignition switch. There was a safety recall on the item and you can check with the nearest Honda dealer for more details.
