1998 Honda Accord V4 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 55000 miles

I took my car in because my check engine light came on. They told me I needed a vavlve adjustment. The Cost is around $150.00. What should I do?

Hi there,

I would be keen to know what code was set, as for the price of adjusting the valves, if the valve cover gasket was replaced it still is a bit on the expensive side as it should take about 1 Hr. To do, but I am curious as to what they found that the valve adjustment will rectify. Was the car miss firing? Erratic idle, noisy?
